We are looking for a Personal Lines producer to join our organization. This is a sales position responsible for generating new accounts and relationships through direct solicitation and through development and cultivation of a network of referral resources. This position acts as a liaison between the client and the agency by contacting prospective clients, gathering information, completing applications, processing orders and fulfilling other required professional advisory functions in the insurance sales process. Although no specific prior experience is required, previous sales and/ or customer service experience would be very helpful. We provide training and mentorship. And, this is a great stepping stone for advancement within the company, primarily into commercial sales/consultancy positions.

Duties:

Key functions of position include:
•Serving as a valued adviser to clients, by helping them to understand their exposure to risk, and by assisting them in the development of a cost effective approach to risk management
•Working with the Sales and Marketing Manager, development of a marketing plan and creation of a list of prospects using current or developing centers of influence,
•Prospecting for new business from existing clients and identified target groups.
•Selling a variety of products from various partner insurance carriers. Staying abreast of trends and techniques; use of agency & industry selling aids to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
•Promotion of the company and the insurance industry in the community.
•Staying informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attendance at insurance carrier training meetings on new products, etc.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
•Must be energetic, self motivated, and goal-oriented.
•Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.
•Strong technical ability
•Should enjoy both a face-to-face and telephone sales environment.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty Insurance Agent License.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Minimum 2-years of successful sales experience.
•Bachelors Degree
