Job Description
The Database Developer/Designer manages projects in accordance with the objective of creating several system compatible web-based databases to equip the company with database tools. The Database Developer/Designer is responsible for managing and creating these sites. The Database Developer/Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities
The Database Developer/Designer is responsible for the following duties:
- Interacts with subcontractors and developers
- Designs or coordinates the design of all aspects of the site – user interface, relational database, PHP code, etc.
- Documents the design to ensure future workability.
- Reports status, and runs preliminary and final design reviews
- Creates user documentation and training materials
- Creates, installs, maintains and improves the database sites
- Creatively uses the vision of the customer to achieve goals

Qualifications: |
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent and relevant work experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- 2+ years experience with PHP and MySQL
Desired Skills/Experience
- Experience with Apache HTTP Software
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
