Duties:

Job Description:

Electrical engineers will work in tight collaboration with controls and systems engineers to develop aircraft and electronics, as well as complex experimental systems for research projects. Participate in the design, fabrication, integration and test of UAV Avionics systems and electronics. Design, build or procure digital and analog components, circuit boards, hardware, and software for UAV and avionics and test systems.

1. Design experimental, aircraft, and avionics hardware and software at the block diagram level, box level, and circuit level.
2. Write requirements, specifications, test procedures, and test reports for any level of design.
3. Supervise or conduct fabrication of circuit boards and packages.
4. Perform design verification tests and subsystem-level tests on electronic components and circuits.
5. Assist with the conduct of research testing with the results of experiment design work.
6. Assist with the writing and compilation of technical research reports.
7. Conduct software prototyping image/signal processing and control algorithms; write embedded software including kernel drivers and test jigs for simulating digital circuits.
8. Support business development through proposal creation.

Minimum Requirements:

1. B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
2. 2+ years experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layouts
3. 2+ years experience in component-level electrical design (schematics development)
4. 2+ years experience in embedded software development (using C or Assembly programming languages)
