| This is a seasonal position from May to Oct assisting the General Manager with all phases of daily operations, with specific attention to front desk, housekeeping and front of the house guest areas at the Paradise Inn, ensuring the highest level of quality and service. Receives working direction from General Manager. |
Duties: |
| • Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards. • Remains aware of safety and security issues in your unit and environment. • Promote Career Development and Workplace Diversity. • Responsible for timely daily opening and/or closing of all hotel departments. • Daily enforcement of uniform and name tag policy in Front Desk and Housekeeping departments. • Reviews timecards for accuracy and policy adherence. • Handles guest complaints or seeks General manager to ensure immediate guest satisfaction. • Must posses working knowledge of dining room to assist in seating, bussing or hosting when needed. • Must develop working knowledge of the front desk property management system to assist or give direction with telephones, check-in or out, cash handling, room charges and room assignment. • Must posses working knowledge of housekeeping department to assists or give direction in room cleaning, housepersons' chores and maintain public areas. • Checks all guest areas daily for cleanliness, including lobby, hallways, stairwells, public restrooms, exterior area of Inn, etc. Assist with register ring-outs and closing paperwork as directed. Participates in unit compliance with NPS, OSHA and Public Health Service. • Develop a working knowledge of functions of all departments, according to organization chart. Maintain suitable interfacing with all departments. • Required to conduct weekly hotel room inspections. • Briefs Night Security of day's operations, leaving operational control of hotel to night Manager on Duty. • Monitors department labor on weekly basis to ensure adherence to budgets. • Perform any other such duties as may be required. |
Qualifications: |
| Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, supervisors and employees. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines. Must be a able to pass a credit check. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, handle, reach and perform repetitive motions. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds periodically. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of park life. |
