Description:

To clean kitchen, and public areas of the National Park Inn hotel each night in accordance with established GSI standards, policies and procedures. Is responsible for hotel and guest security and safety from 10 PM to 6 AM. Checks guests into hotel rooms from time to time.

Duties:

•Lock all food storage doors.
•Lock kitchen doors - admit no unauthorized persons except night crew or management.
•Remove garbage from kitchen; take cans outside and hose them inside and outside.
•Clean all kitchen areas, hoods, walk-ins, floors, prep areas, etc., according to procedures in manual.
•Check temperatures of all refrigeration equipment and report problems to kitchen management.
•Cleans and sweeps outside walk ways.
•Empties outside garbage.
•Replenish wood supply from storage.
•Lay fire in fire place.
•Vacuum and/or sweep all floors on hotel ground floor.
•Periodically clean carpets on hotel ground floor.
•Clean and sanitize all ground floor rest rooms, including bright work and fixtures.
•Replenish rest room supplies.
•Empty, clean and refill all sanitizing buckets according to GSI procedures
•Check guest into hotel after front desk clerks shifts are over (10 PM to 6 AM)
•Performs such other related duties as directed or required.

Qualifications:

Similar experience preferred.

Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines.

Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Some walking and stair climbing. Good physical energy, stamina, and agility. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Exposure to wet floors. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must live in local community or in park. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of working unsupervised some of the time.
